The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received Wednesday the credentials of four new ambassadors accredited to Algeria, said a statement of the Presidency of the Republic.

The new ambassadors are "Her Excellency the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ms. Sharon Wardle, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of India, Mr. Gaurav Ahluwalia, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon, Mr. Komidor Hamidou Njimoluh and His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal, Mr. Serene Diyay," said the same source.

The ceremony of presentation of credentials took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, in the presence of the Chief of Staff at the Presidency of the Republic, Noureddine Baghdad Daidj and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sabri Boukadoum.

 

The ambassador of the United Kingdom: "consolidate and strengthen friendly relations

 

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received Wednesday Ms. Sharon Wardle who gave him her credentials as the new ambassador of the United Kingdom, Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Algeria.

At the end of this audience, Ms. Wardle told the press: "I was honored to present my credentials to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

"During my meeting with Mr. President, I pledged to make every effort to consolidate and strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries, "she added.

She noted that in the shadow of the global health crisis, "cooperation between countries has become greater ", which makes, she said, the combination of efforts "a necessary thing to face all these challenges, to be at the service of citizens and up to the challenges and opportunities offered. Accordingly, the new Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Algeria has reiterated the determination of her country to raise the level of Algerian-British relations, indicating in this sense: "We aspire to strengthen the ties between the two countries. Stressing the importance of bilateral cooperation, Ms. Wardle noted the need to "share and exchange experiences and knowledge in several areas, such as trade, security and education. "We are convinced of our ability to achieve much together," she said.

And to express at the same time his gratitude for the reception that was reserved for him in Algeria. "I hope that Algeria will become my second country during my term," she concluded.

As a reminder, the ceremony of delivery of credentials took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, in the presence of the Director of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Noureddine Bardad-Daidj and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sabri Boukadoum.

 

 

The Ambassador of the Republic of India: "to strengthen bilateral relations

 

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, Wednesday, the Ambassador of the Republic of India, Mr. Gaurav Ahluwalia who gave him his credentials as the new Ambassador of India in Algiers.

In a statement at the end of the audience, Mr. Gaurav said that India aspired to raise the level of its economic cooperation with Algeria, being one of the largest countries in Africa and the Arab world and a gateway to Africa and Europe, stressing that it will ensure "strengthen and consolidate bilateral relations. He also stressed his commitment to expand the areas of cooperation, especially areas related to the economy, energy, pharmaceutical industry and information technology, and this to serve the interests of both countries.

Referring to the unprecedented health crisis which, he said, has had an economic impact around the world, Mr. Gaurav recalled that India has granted Algeria "some 5,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine", as part of the relations of friendship and solidarity that bind the two countries, mentioning the possibility of sending additional doses as needed. Algeria and India are linked by "strong and deep-rooted relations that reflect the bonds of friendship established between the two peoples," he added.

 

Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon: "strengthening cooperation and cultural

 

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon, Mr. Komidor Hamidou Njimoluh, reiterated Wednesday in Algiers the willingness of his country to strengthen economic and cultural cooperation, and cooperation as a whole with Algeria.

"If I am here it is for the consecration of this good relationship that exists seriously between Algeria and Cameroon. I am here, on behalf of the President of the Republic (Cameroon), for the strengthening of economic and cultural cooperation, and cooperation as a whole between the brotherly countries, Algeria and Cameroon, "he said, after the ceremony of delivery of his credentials to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, in the presence of the Director of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Noureddine Baghdad Daidj, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sabri Boukadoum.

The Cameroonian diplomat said, on this occasion, that his role was to make its "modest contribution to the expansion and strengthening of ties that already exist for many years between the two countries," stressing that these "links are called to grow more. The ambassador was keen to salute Algeria, which is considered by Cameroon, he said, as "a great refuge for freedom fighters in Cameroon" and that it is "one of the leading countries in the fight for human dignity, the dignity of our African countries.

 

The ambassador of the Republic of Senegal: "to anchor the bonds of fraternity and friendship

 

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received, Wednesday, Mr. Serene Diyay who gave him his credentials as the new ambassador of Senegal in Algiers. In a statement to the press at the end of the hearing, Mr. Serene Diyay said he was "satisfied to work in Algeria to anchor the bonds of brotherhood and friendship between the two countries. "I would like, on this occasion, to convey a message of thanks and consideration of the Senegalese President, Macky Sall, to express the ties of brotherhood and friendship that bind the two countries, "he added.
