Composed of 269 people; this first group, initially expected on Friday at 18:00, arrived Saturday before dawn at Houari-Boumediene International Airport on board a plane of the national airliner Air Algerie, and they will be placed in quarantine at the Mazafran Hotel.

Upon their arrival, these people were welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabri Boukadoum, the Minister of Interior, Local Government and Land Management, Kamel Beldjoud, the Minister of Communication, Government Spokesman, Ammar Belhimer, as well as those of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Farouk Chiali, and the Wali of Algiers, Youcef Chorfa.            

It should be noted that this repatriation operation will take place according to a flight schedule scheduled from 3 to 5 April, on board Air Algerie and Turkish Airlines aircraft, and concerns 1,788 Algerians who will be placed in quarantine as soon as they arrive in the country as part of the measures taken by the country's authorities to contain the spread of Covid-19.
